Injectables and Skin Care

An Alternative to Cosmetic Surgery
The advent of non-surgical procedures such as Botox, fillers and skin care have skyrocketed in popularity over the past 5 years. Little to no down time or recovery along with fairly noticeable improvements to the facial appearance have made these procedures popular. In-office procedures using both skin care and injectables can help lessen fine lines and wrinkles and restore a more youthful volume to the face. Although damage occurs gradually over time, science and medicine have evolved to provide immediate improvement. Botox and dermal fillers are wonderful and popular non-surgical alternatives to revitalize and restore a more youthful appearance.

The face ages in a predictable fashion:

  • Cheeks fall down and in towards the mouth and create deep smile lines: We use filler to raise the cheek and soften the smile lines.
  • Volume is lost and there is hollowing under the eyes: We use a specialized filler to fill this space.
  • The mouth loses its collagen and soft tissue support and points down: We use fillers to support the mouth and the deep jowl lines around it.
  • Furrows and wrinkles and crow’s feet develop around the eyes and forehead: We use Botox to soften lines and lift the brows.

All this begins at about the age of 35 – small conservative interventions help to remedy the patient’s complaints today and prevent worsening tomorrow; making this a true anti-aging treatment.

Why Use Injectables & Fillers in Your Face?
In the past decade, injectables such as Botox, to relax overactive facial muscles, and dermal fillers, to fill in wrinkles and hollows, have become a popular addition or alternative to what was once only surgical options. We often use them in conjunction with each other to create the “liquid facelift” affect.

Excellent Skin Care

Great skin care, including such things as chemical peels, microdermabrasions and at home products, help contribute to a fresher, more youthful appearance to the facial skin. In conjunction with our aesthetician, Brittani, at Oasis Medical Spa & Wellness, we will formulate a plan specific to your skin care needs.

Chemical peels are applied to the skin to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the production of new ones along with stimulating collagen and elastin. They can be used to treat various skin conditions including:

  • Fine lines, wrinkles and skin laxity
  • Uneven pigmentation
  • Acne and acne scars
  • Sun-damaged skin, age spots and freckling

There is nothing like the feel of fresh and young skin to bring out a more beautiful you. We recommend a skin consultation to determine which peel or combination of peels would compliment your skin. For best results, skin should be treated with appropriate skin care before and after peels. To review our menu of skin services and prices click here.

Microdermabrasion
SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion™ is the only treatment of its kind (non-invasive, crystal-free rejuvenation procedure) to deliver topical skin care products while exfoliating the skin. Our SilkPeel™ can be used on all skin types including skin with hyperpigmentation, acne, sun damage, scarring, dehydration, enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles. Six to eight treatments are recommended, but microdermabrasion leaves the skin with a soft, refreshing glow that lasts for weeks.
